Genealogy Membership & Services

The Genealogy Department assists Genealogy-Level Members with ancestral name and town searches. Read more on the Museum's website. Genealogical investigations for people of Lithuanian ancestry can be time-consuming and complicated, requiring a search of multiple records as well as familiarity with Lithuanian, Russian, and/or Polish. Our experienced genealogist has successfully assisted many people with finding their roots.

Genealogy Membership levels determine the number (one or both parents' records, for example) and the depth of searches our genealogist will perform on your behalf. The Genealogy Department also provides à la carte services specific to your individual needs, for example the translation of documents or assistance with identifying historic spelling of names of people and places.
