The Vytis Symbol: The “Vytis” knight on horseback is one of the most well – known symbols among Lithuanians. It is the state emblem of the Republic of Lithuania. The charging knight is known to have been first used as the state emblem in 1366 on the official seal of the Grand Duke of Lithuania.
