Because here I’ve gathered things from the past, from our traditional Lithuanian Christmas Eve (Kūčios), as well as what my own family places on the holiday table. The book also includes what has proven itself and remained over the years as I developed new recipes for my magazine and television show.

Cooking from a book rather than a phone is a pleasure on a whole different level. And you don’t want to be jumping between countless recipe sources. That’s why this book, first and foremost, is something I need. A book for waiting for and preparing for the holidays. Christmas is the main celebration of the year, and I always eagerly await it. And the holidays are not just about food—they are about the feeling you carry for a month or even two beforehand.
