The Concise Encyclopaedia of Lithuania Minor is an academic reference publication about Lithuania Minor, or Prussian Lithuania, which existed until the end o World War II. This region, situated in the north- eastern part of East Prussia, which in 1871 became part of the German Empire, was densely populated by Lithuanians from ancient times. The interaction of the culture of the Lithuanians autochthons and the eventual dominance of German culture created of Prussian Lithuanians and imparted the region with exceptional features. The first part of the book presents general information about the region, focuses in the historical development of Lithuanian Minor and highlights the Lithuanian presence in the region. The second part presents, in alphabetical order, the descriptions of the cities, towns and settlements of Lithuania Minor. The third part of the book provides biographical information about the most prominent personalities of the region. The publication includes indexes of personal names, places and subjects.
