Easter egg – Created on real chicken egg shells
The egg has been hollowed out by creating a small opening in the top and bottom of the egg. The egg is then adorned with a traditional waxing and coloring technique.
Beautiful decoration for your home at Easter!
Decorating Eggs (Margučiai)
The country of Lithuania uses two methods of decorating eggs also known as "Margučiai".
The first, an engraved method, uses a blade to scratch or carve designs on a dyed egg. The second consists of the use of hot wax applied with the head of a pin. Patterns form by using a series of dots and "tailed" dots to form rosettes and other patterns.
*Available eggs have been subdivided into color categories. Museum staff will pick the exact egg at shipping based on your color preference.
