About the author:
Kazys Daugėla was an engineer and teacher who transitioned into an art photographer, capturing life in pre-war Lithuania. After the war, as a refugee, he documented the plight of Lithuanian displaced people in camps in West Germany. His work, "Išeiviai iš Lietuvos" features the life of the refugees in post-war Germany and is considered a valuable part of his creative legacy. Daugėla's photographs are noted for their spiritual simplicity and historical significance, making them a significant part of the Lithuanian cultural heritage.
